2022 Jeep Compass vs 2021 Jeep Compass

Serving Jersey City, NJ

The athletic Jeep Compass introduced its second generation in 2017 with a brilliant refresh from end to end. Since that time, additional improvements have been made to the Compass, including various updates to the 2022 Compass. What will you find when you compare the 2021 and 2022 Jeep Compass in full detail with support from our team at Hudson CDJR?

Performance

While there are exciting improvements throughout the interior and exterior of the 2022 Compass, this small crossover’s capabilities are unchanged. The five trims for both model years benefit from a four-cylinder, 2.4-liter gas engine that produces 177 horsepower. The first two trim levels have a six-speed auto transmission with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. The top trims have standard all-wheel drive with a nine-speed auto transmission.

Appearance

The Jeep Compass’s façade has been restyled for the 2022 model year. In 2021, the crossover shows off subtle angles through its hood and roof. This is accompanied by a slightly rounded nose that features a large, molded bumper and a rectangular design through the grille and angled, geometric headlights. The sides have square wheel wells, defined fenders, and crisp accents. For 2022, the Compass has a boxier stance with smoother sides and only a trace of definition around the fenders. The grille remains the same, but the headlights have a triangular quality with an upper LED bar. The lower-front fascia also takes on a modern look.

Features

While many features loaded into the 2021 Jeep Compass remain available in 2022, the 2022 Compass introduces a few items. For example, the infotainment system has upgraded software. The touch display screen is more extensive, and there are a few additional safety technologies. Equipment available in both model years includes USB ports, wireless Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, satellite radio, a blind-spot monitor, forward collision avoidance, lane departure mitigation, an enhanced driver instrument panel, leather material, a heated steering wheel, and more.
