Jersey City Dodge Dealers expect 2010 Challenger Drag Pak to race away quickly
I don’t race cars, but I do love watching other, more talented drivers take the wheel and blaze across a track or street course. What I wouldn’t give to fill the hefty shoes of Dale Earnhardt, flying around corners with the agility and grace of a jungle cat, manipulating the steering wheel like it was a gift from birth. As a professional, I don’t think I’ll ever have a chance to make the dream come true, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the fun that is the racing scene. And out of the racing scene comes the 2010 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak, an add-on to this year’s Challenger that makes the car street-ready, albeit not street legal.
Last year’s Drag Pak titillated your Jersey City Dodge dealer, with 100 Drag Pak Challengers that sold relatively quickly. The Challenger’s Drag Pak offering last year was so luscious that legendary drag racer Don Garlits came out of retirement to run the innovative vehicle in last year’s U.S. Nationals. This year’s Drag Pak offerings are expected to be much the same, with 100 more of these babies hitting the market for a limited sale. The car is built to compete in sanctioned NHRA Stock, Super Stock and Comp Eliminator, even though it isn’t street legal, and settles in at an impressive $39,999 price tag. And of course your Jersey City Dodge parts location can’t wait to get their hands on the 6.1-liter Hemi V8 coupled with either a five-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
This year’s Drag Pak is heavily based on the 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 model, yet they weigh in as much as 1,000 pounds lighter than their high-performing brethren. To add some more bonus details to make the car race-ready, the new Challenger Drag Pak includes “composite lift-off hood with functional scoop, Dodge Viper-style front seats, polycarbonate door windows, a light-weight cooling module with electric fan, manual rack-and-pinion steering, a special cable-operated deck-lid release, special light-weight front-brake assemblies and special cable-operated throttle linkage and pedal assembly."
Your Jersey City Dodge dealer loves exclusive offers, and this is a highly exclusive one. With only 100 of these babies in existence, the Drag Pak is sure to be a hot-selling item and should sell out in a matter of days. Drivers interested in the Drag Pak will have to fill out an application at their new and used Jersey City Dodge dealer to have a chance at purchasing one of the new, high-power Challenger Drag Paks. With the kind of power, light handling, unmatched style and easily manipulated steering that the Drag Pak offers, we’ll expect to see a good amount of these going as soon as they are available.
Next time you visit your Jersey City Dodge parts locations, you might want to pick your mechanic’s brain on what he thinks of the new Challenger Drag Pak. Honestly, we expect to see these brand new models flying off new and used Jersey City Dodge dealerships across the area, so you better consider putting in an application as soon as possible.
